Bali Myna Released in Bali Barat National Park (Cekik, March 16th, 2017) – The Central Java Captive Breeder Association handed 26 birds to the West Bali National Park (TNBB). The event took place at the TNBB office hall. Attended this event were the Head of the TNBB, Head of the Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA) Central Java, representatives of the Directorate of Biodiversity Conservation and association representatives. All handed birds will be released in the TNBB.

In his speech, Ir. Supriyanto (Kabalai TNBB) expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the association. He hoped that this step can be followed by another breeder. Ir. Supriyanto also emphasized that efforts to habituation and medical examinations can be carried out as soon as possible. In addition, TNBB are also expected to carry on monitoring the progress and the success rate of the program with not forget to continue to improve the carrying capacity of the habitat.

Quoted on the official website of the Directorate General of Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystems (KSDAE), Ministry of Environment and Forestry stated that the activity is part of the implementation of Article 71 Regulation of the Minister of Forestry Number: P.19 / Menhut-II / 2005. Each breeder shall make a return to the natural habitat (restocking) at  10% of protected  captived-bred ​​plants and animals species.

The move is also part of the implementation of the Forestry Minister's Regulation Number: P.19 / Menhut-II / 2005 about Captive Wild Fauna and Flora, where breeding is an attempt of artificial propagation through breeding and rearing of plants and wildlife while in the same time maintaining the purity of its kind.

The handover ceremony was closed with the signing of the handover of the Bali starling bird and delivery of award to the entire breeders in such association.

All participants then went on a field trip to Bali Myna Breeding Center in Tegal Bunder and coastal resorts Karang Sewu, TNBB region.
